The video game remasters have become very popular as nostalgia and wanting to experiment with old fun video games on new technologies is a huge attraction. The recent trend can be observed with video games such as Mass Effect Legendary Edition, which has recently been praised on the latest platforms. Today, the CFK publisher and the AJA Frontier developer have announced the release of a remastered edition of Koumajou Remiliar: Scarlet Symphony on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam in the current of 2021. It is confirmed that the game supports support. English, French, Korean, Japanese and Chinese options (simplified and traditional). For the moment, there was no confirmed sales price or exact date. Of course, as with each remill, developers promise major improvements to the game.
Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony was initially launched in 2009 on PC in Japan as a horizontal scrolling game based on the Touhou project. In the game, players embody Reimu Hakurei and have to make their way up to the castle of the scarlet devil to discover the source of the disorders who left the city of Gensokyo in a terrible and terrible state. Essentially, Koumajou Remiliar: Scarlet Symphony follows the typical Metroidvania formula, offering high temperature fights, RPG enhancements, massive boss fights with difficult mechanisms and a huge castle to explore.
