It has been reported that the last of us one will not be multiplayer.
A follow-up to the very acclaimed first of us game on the Playstation 3 (and later PS4), partie II continues the adventures of Ellie from the first game. Developed by Naughty Dog, Ellie still lives in an apocalyptic world invaded by humans resembling zombies infected with a monstrous mushroom. The most recent trailer for partie II has finally revealed that Joel, the playable protagonist of the first game, is back, and that the game finally has an output date. The game will be released on February 21, 2020.
Despite rumors and first rumors that the game would go to multiplayer mode, it turns out that this is no longer the case. Usgamer interviewed Emilia Schatz, Naughty Dog game designer. During the interview, Schatz confirms that the last of us one is just a solo game. The publication will later get clarifications of a Sony email on the game, recalling what Schatz told them and Party II will only be a single player game.
Last year, other media websites announced that a multiplayer short film was preparing soon. Part II . The directors of the game seemed to have confirmed him during a spent interview with Gamespoten saying the multiplayer returns.
Things have changed since that interview. The game as such turned out to be much larger than most games the game will come in two discs. If the complete content of the two disks is only a solo experiment, it may not be possible to switch to multiplayer mode, even if Naughty Dog wishes.
Although there is no multiplayer mode at launch, it does not mean that there will be one later than a patch. Other games have already done so, adding a post-launch in multiplayer mode. Although for the moment, multiplayer mode does not seem to be a priority for Naughty Dog.
The last of us part II arrives on the Playstation 4 exclusively on February 21, 2020.
