Thats like chandeliers that I did not buy a halo game. Its nothing personal. I slowly moved away from Master Chief over the years. Yet Halo offers some of my most beautiful game memories. I still remember looking in front of my local EX games for hours in the rain while waiting to catch this special edition of Halo 2. Not to mention everyone These Friday nights where we go out and organized Ridiculous Halo LAN holidays. It was a glorious chaos with televisions, pizza boxes and network cables everywhere.
These days miss me. Needless to say its great to replay in Halo.
Certainly, it is not the final version of Halo Infinite. My impressions are limited to about 5 hours (the first 4 missions) of the solo experience. I played a lot more than that, but Im not allowed to tell you anything beyond the first four missions. You will need to check when our review will be posted early next month.
I would like to tell you more because what I played so far is absolutely fantastic. It is an impressive technical realization for 343, and I have trouble finding anything defective in this campaign so far.
My biggest point to remember must be the amount of freedom I have to make a way through Zeta Halo, where the campaign takes place. The previous Halo experiments have always presented sprawling levels and (mainly) linear experience. This is not quite the case this time. Of course, you get a basic experience and brand massive levels are back. However, infinite has a feeling of open world, where I could accomplish missions at my pace and in my own style of play. And I like that.
Of course, you can browse the main missions, but you would be next. The infinite campaign is deep, has a lot to offer, tons to do, and I have the impression of having barely touched the surface.
At the history level, the campaign takes place about 18 months after the events of Halo 5: Guardians. You will embody the Master Chief who returns from the dead, desperate to discover what happened in Cortana and to prevent the main enemies of the world, the Banished, to seize Zeta Halo. There is a little more than that with many new faces in the mix, but the story hung me and I can not wait to see how this trip will end.

Experience has a familiar but fresh feeling. Fans will feel at home with this legendary halo music, fluid controls and the return of all your favorite weapons. The open world format; However, is invigorating. This feeling of freedom and exploration is perfect for the Master Chief. I understand, clean the outposts and do everything you would, for example in a Far Cry game, can become a chore. Rest assured, this is not the case here. At least, not.
During the campaign, in addition to fulfilling the main missions, you will do things such as life sailors, capture banned bases, look for a plethora of collectibles and destroy towers. Most goals are simple. Yet each task represents its own set of unique challenges and level of difficulty. That said, infinite is accessible to all. In fact, accessibility options are incredibly endless. Its a fantastically inclusive game that leaves no one side.
Despite this, infinite was not exactly a walk in the park. Weapon management plays an important role. I have always missed ammunition, I rushed to look for abandoned weapons or refill stations wherever I could. The enemies gave me a race for my money, and I died. A lot.
The enemies are still varied and absolutely hilarious. You will encounter little unnecessary brings that will make fun of you and others that will pull you up from the top of the hills. You will meet threatening laws that speak to you and others that will explode deadly guns on your way. I did not expect a lot of challenges. Damn, I was wrong...
The Master Chief grapple changes the game. This grapple mechanism has an impact on everything, boss battles through the sprawling levels. Like all the rest of the game, the use of the grapple is silky. It feels natural as if it belonged. The same goes for all weapons. They have punch, present their own strength and feel good. Its not astounding because it has never been a weak point for the franchise.
Hallo Infinite also offers a fluid progression system that is actually rewarding. You can find Spartan nuclei throughout the main missions and through Zeta Halo. Nuclei are used to improve equipment and other skills. Nuclei are not really easy to find either, so exploration is strongly encouraged and necessary. Especially if you want to unlock all fantasy equipment. And yes, the skulls are back and hard to find.
You quickly learn that FOB capture is essential. Consider them like avant-posts or shelters. Capturing it is accomplished by eliminating all enemies in the location and after this is done by activating the base on the FOB platform. Once captured, they become a kind of turntable where you call vehicles and modify your loads. In addition, Fobs can reveal key banned structures and high value targets.
All these concerns about the Halo Infinite solo campaign have been cleared. I could fuck if the cooperative is not available on the first day, because I love this trip solo. The Halo Infinite campaign is vast, beautiful and a good silky moment. I am delighted to finish this trip on Zeta Halo.
